Fairbank United AFC

Fairbank United and Masjid Umar joined together to help the homeless people of Bradford through the Curry Project. The Bradford Curry Project is a multi-faith, multi-cultural charity in which all the major faiths of Bradford work together to serve those in need.  The aim of the organisation is to provide free meals to people in Bradford who are in need.

Maulana Sajid of Masjid Umar made it his aim to use his influence within to community to raise money to undertake a Qurbani, which was cooked by existing volunteers at the Curry Project. Players from the senior team, along with other members of the community were on hand serve up the food.

There are many places across the globe where people are suffering, but those who were involved on Saturday night had their eyes opened to the suffering of people living on their own doorsteps. It is hoped the club will continue to work with the Curry Project and offer its services again in the near future
