Fairbank put on a brilliant display to take the points in exciting match at Bingley Road. From the first whistle it was obvious Fairbank were up for the challenge, as right from the start Fairbank got themselves in front, as Berry got free from his marker and smashed home from close range.
Within minutes the score was doubled as Berry and Sola, and Sola went through to put Fairbank 2 goals up. On the half hour mark Shoulders scored his first, after latching on to a lovely ball from the right from Berry, to stroke it home from close range. Sutton managed to get one back, with a calm finish from close range, before Shoulders was once again released on the left and slotted home his second.
With the game firmly in the bag Fairbank let their foot off the gas, allowing Sutton back into the game. 2 needless fouls in the area saw Sutton converted both penalties with ease, which made the score 4:3. It was Berry again who got away from his marker and gave a lovely ball to Shoulders to get his hat trick!
Midway through the half Shoulders went through again, meeting another wonderful ball, when he lobbed the keeper. Right from the restart Berry giving the chance to Dimi, who easily tapped the ball past the keeper. Fairbank began to get a firmer grip on the game, and it was good build up play between Shoulders, Ashan and Sola, saw Shoulders release, Berry who saw his shot parried, only to fall to the rushing Bassit who swept the ball home.
This was an excellent team performance from Fairbank today, as players performed to the top of their ability throughout the team and saw them hit top spot in the league as a result.
