Inter Batley 0 :3 Fairbank United
Ravensthorpe Playing Fields - Dewsbury

A near full strength team saw off the challenge of Inter, leaving United to dominate for long periods. Fairbank started the brighter of the two teams and had numerous chances to take the lead. Unfortunately newboy Kammi was having an off day as he spurned a couple of good chances after excellent build up play from the midfeild.

Fairbank took the lead after 20 minutes. A Well worked move saw the ball fall at the edge of the area, leaving Nav to smash home an excellent from 25 yards. Despite the missed chances Kammi put in a very good performance, and it was his seering pace which caught out the Inter defence. Chasing a throughball from Usy, Kammi reached the ball before the on rushing keeper before being upended. Having dusted himself down Kammi then went and missed the poorly taken penalty, only for Tufail to barge his way through and scramble the ball over the line.

Despite the flurry of changes at half time Fairbank kept up the pressure. A poor goal kick saw Nav hit home the third, but the scoreline should in reality have been much higher as United lay seige to the Inter goal. Usy continued to pull the strings in the midfeild playing the wingers Qauid and Bobby into play. Akif was drafted out onto the right for the last part of the game, and came on the recieving end of a set of crunching tackles, yet despite the havoc caused by the wide men, no more golas were added
